Congress: Minister Ponnam's key call to Congress leaders

Congress: Protests across the state today in protest of BRS chief and former Telangana CM KCR's comments at the silver jubilee celebration on SundaySonia Gandhi's portrait is anointed with oilMinister Ponnam Prabhakar has called on Congress leaders to do the same. On Sunday, Ponnam Prabhakar spoke to the media at CM Revanth Reddy's residence in Hyderabad. He demanded that KCR withdraw his statement that the Congress party is the first enemy of Telangana. He suggested that KCR should remember that it was the Congress party that gave Telangana. He criticized KCR's attitude of saying, "Until you cross the river, you will be a fool, after you cross the river, you will be a fool."

Sonia Gandhi's portrait is anointed with oil

He reminded that KCR himself had said in the full assembly that Telangana came about because of Sonia Gandhi. He said that Sonia Gandhi was also addressed as a goddess that day. In protest against KCR's two-four trend , he asked the Congress ranks to anoint Sonia Gandhi's portrait in all districts across Telangana on Monday. If the Congress party was a villain as KCR said, would Telangana have become an independent state today? He questioned. He said that if it were not for Sonia Gandhi, Telangana would not have come about even if KCR had drunk water from three ponds. He said that KCR expressed impatience when people did not come to the assembly in the expected range and blamed the Congress for that.
